Dear SHELXL users,

The new program ShelXle is now released. ShelXle is a cute GUI for SHELXL with a syntax highlighting editor and residual map visualization.
It is available for Windows, MacOS X and Linux. It is open source.

Download it here!

the manual is not finished yet

and here is a demonstration video

At the software farye in Madrid 22th of August 2011 it will be demonstrated.

I hope you like it.

Cheers

Why is build 412 not available for Mac OS X?

It is actually the same code. I usually commit new versions first on Mac OS X and then compile the new version on Windows and commit this. This leads to different Revision numbers between Windows and Mac OS X. The Linux Versions are build automatically by a script which makes the new versions then available on the website.

I've just noticed that the latest versions now provide the option "toggle orthographic projection / central perspective projection", as we suggested recently at the SHELX Workshop in Göttingen. Well done, Christian. 8)
